This News Ticker has been adapted to sit within a box (as shown in blue) that has a height set to just contain news item #3 (the nominal longest item). In this case all news items that require a height that is the same (or smaller) than this height can be displayed without any jumping (see items # 1, 2, 3 and 4). If, however, an even longer news item is later added that exceeds this height (as demonstrated with news item #5) then jumping will occur when this item (only) is displayed. This approach is a non-perfect work-around that requires that the longest news item length be know in advance (so that an appropriate height can be pre-set by Spoton Technical Department). The pre-set height can, of course, be changed to a different value.. but this would have to be done in the style sheet by Spoton Technical Department.
This is news ticker item #1. It fits on a single line by itself. End of item #1.

This is news ticker item#3. It is the longest item and covers many lines. The minimum height of the News Ticker box will have to be pre-set sufficiently large to match the height of this longest item.
